Frequently Asked Questions

What is a CiviCamp?

CiviCamps are events by and for the CiviCRM community. If you've never attended a CiviCamp before, imagine an exciting mix of conference and community gathering. Learn valuable knowledge from leading CiviCRM experts and connect with practitioners around the world.

Who is the CiviCamp for?

Whether you're just curious about what CiviCRM has to offer, a CiviCRM power user or an experienced developer, this event is for you! CiviCRM events bring together a diverse community of people, including users at all levels of experience, administrators and programmers.

What does the CiviCamp schedule look like?

You can find an overview of the schedule here.
Admission for exhibitors and speakers is possible from 8:30 am. Check-in will take place from 9:00 am. The program starts at 9:30 am and officially ends at 5:30 pm. Afterwards we would like to end the evening with a cold drink on the beautiful roof terrace.

Which languages will be spoken?

We are planning an international CiviCamp! Relevant parts of the program, such as the welcome words and most of the technical sessions will be held in English. Some sessions - including the introductory session for CiviCRM newcomers - will be held in German. The language of the sessions are marked in the program.

If you need a translation, please ask for "whispered translation" from the community in the CiviCamp 2024 Mattermost Channel. The CiviCRM community thrives on volunteer work and is always happy to help!

Is vegetarian food available?

Yes, vegetarian and vegan food will be provided for lunch.

Is there daycare on site?

We want to make it possible for as many people as possible to take part in the CiviCamp. That's why there will be limited childcare offers at the youth hostel. If you would like to take advantage of this, please send a short email with the number and age of the children to Ulrich Meyer-Martin, umeyermartin@m-m-cs.com.

Will photos be taken?

Photographs and film recordings (including sound) will be made of this event for the purpose of documenting the event and for public relations work. The photos and film recordings may be used on the organizer's website and in social media. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please contact us on the day of the event. You will then receive a sticker at check-in so that our photographers can take this into consideration.
